FIXER has been a band we've been following for years -- these guys are great practicioners of the art form of down home, ole time rock n' roll -- a highly disciplined band with great oddball whimsey who have also discovered their own sound that's solid -- go to their site, listen to the music, be there, do that, buy a T-shirt and be hoppy --

EMBER SWIFT is a Toronto based singer-songwriter with more than a few years experience behind her -- she's currently on tour in North America after the release of her recent CD "Disarming" -- she sounds like some and yet again she doesn't -- very fresh sound -- NJOI --

THE ORB is a duo we think from the UK who are members of the new sound of live improv using elements of electronic and electro-acoustic music -- they've released a new CD but it seems to be shroouded in secrecy, or at least, subterfuge -- to get info you have to write snailmail to the UK and ask that they respond -- also, we tried to order their CD and were sent to a German ecommerce site which we couldn't figure out -- but them again, we might be boneheads -- in any event, check these guys --
